If “failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor” (Truman Capote), how spicy do you like your success stories?
Whilst most people’s success stories are full of flavour, I would probably expect most to say that they wish their stories were bland. Failure is something we all encounter on our way, but no one purposely sets out to fail. In saying that, failure isn’t something that I’ve encountered a lot of in my life. Yes, I’ve had people say ‘no’, but I wouldn’t consider any of these failures. I would count a failure as something that I’ve tried incredibly hard at to succeed, been told ‘no’, tried even harder and then still told ‘no’.
Given that, however spicy you like your success, we should always look at how failure shapes us and our experiences
